The transparent glass shade creates a roomy atmosphere while the base functions as a dish to hold small items such as keys, earrings and other accessories. With Yuet Tung's classic GuangCai fighting rooster prints circling the inner ring, the vivid red and black coloured prints provide a modern and fresh appearance.
 
Inspired by nostalgic memory and Tung Hing’s expertise in producing oil lamps, the ‘Oriental Oil Lamp’ consists of a tube-shaped glass shade and a porcelain base. The glass tube is a modernised interpretation of the traditional oil lamp. Its unornamented shape places the oil flame at the centre of attention. Although it is an ancient technology, the light from the oil lamp provides a relaxing atmosphere unmatched by modern electric lighting equipment. The base also functions as a dish to hold small items such as keys and earrings. With Yuet Tung's classic GuangCai fighting roosters circling on the face of the dish, the vivid red and black colours provides a modern and fresh appearance.
